VISA Information

Visitors to Thailand must obtain a visa from one of the Thai diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries, or citizens who may obtain a visa on arrival, or citizens eligible for an e-Visa. More information can befound via: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/.


Bilateral agreements

Due to bilateral visa exemption agreements with Thailand, citizens of the following countries and territories may enter Thailand without a visa for up to the duration listed below. They may enter via any port of entry (unless otherwise noted).

Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme

Under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme, citizens of countries and territories around the world may enter Thailand without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days and may extend their stay for another 30 days,[8] provided the purpose of entering Thailand is for tourism only.
Citizens of the following countries may enter Thailand for unlimited times without visa by air but are limited to a maximum of 2 visa-exempt entries per calendar year when entering Thailand via land or sea (unless otherwise noted).

Invitation Letter

Important information regarding invitation letters (please read):

  • The invitation letter will be issued after the successful registration.
  • Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.
  • Please note ACIE Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by ACIE Conferences and conference Committee Board. Should your application be denied, ACIE Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will ACIE Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on behalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.
  • It takes time for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.
